Starting Our New Life Together in Sto. Tomas, Batangas

Santo Tomas is perfectly laid at the foot of Mt. Makiling.

And this is my everyday view! Thousands of visitors and pilgrims, from neighboring towns, provinces, and even outside the country, have been visiting Santo Tomas, Batangas to pray and give dedications to Saint Padre Pio. The famous national shrine is located in Barangay San Pedro, which became one of the most significant landmarks, not only in the town of Santo Tomas but also in the whole province of Batangas.

If you think that traveling to the province of Batangas is a long and unending road, I assure you that traveling in my province is really convenient and hassle-free. From my workplace in Alabang, Batangas is just 30-minutes drive via South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and South Luzon Tollway (SLT) or better known as ACTEx. Also, my travel time to Makati and Manila is also worry-free, it takes me 45 minutes to reach the said places, also via ACTEx.

Since Jeff and I were both roots of Santa Cruz Laguna, visiting our families and relatives on weekends is now easier. Thank you to F.T. San Luis Road or known as Bitin road – while on a drive here, you will be able to pass the Mak-Ban Geothermal Powerplant J. In traversing this road, we no longer face traffic in Calamba and Los Baños, plus we get to enjoy the view and fresh air from Mount Makiling – more time with our families!

Even though Santo Tomas, Batangas is a very serene place, its economic setting is the other way around. Sprawling business firms, including industrial estates, boosted the local economy of the area which turned it into a first-class municipality. To date, there are a total of 1,453 establishments distributed among the 30 barangays, mostly situated in Sta. Anastacia, San Antonio, San Pedro, and Poblacion areas.

Santo Tomas, Batangas is also one of the fast-turning industrialized areas. Two (2) among the full-blast industrial estates, namely Light Industries and Science Park and First Philippine Industrial Park, located in Barangay San Rafael and Sta. Anastacia, meet world-class standards and is destined to host many more industries and industrial projects. These industrial parks offer different job opportunities not only in Santo Tomas, Batangas but in nearby towns as well.

Want to experience urban living in a suburban feel? Santo Tomas is the right place for you. The place is a mix of residential development and farm lots, which encourage early investments and a place to stay with. And if you also want to have the same location and investment (like mine), LUMINA HOMES is a well-known brand for Every Juan’s Home.

Cushioned between Santo Tomas and Tanauan is Lumina’s flagship project, Lumina Batangas in Barangay San Vicente and Lumina Residences in Barangay Santa Maria. Both communities are complete with a guardhouse, multi-purpose hall, mini gardens and playground, basketball court, and space for future commercial establishments.
