Lumina to award new home to Himig Handog Composer Winner

Lumina Homes, the leading real estate developer in 2020, will again tie-up with Kapamilya’s Himig 11th Edition Finals Night that will be held on March 21 via live streaming. This will also be aired on Kapamilya Channel (Channel 8) and Kapamilya Online at the YouTube Channel on March 21, at 9 PM, with TFC airing.

The “Himig 11th Edition”, which was tagged as Himig Handog before, is once again having a worldwide search for the best Original Pilipino Music (OPM) songs.

Himig Handog started in 2000 under the ABS-CBN Network and Star Records. Throughout the years, the competition mold the Philippine entertainment industry with its featured songs that were also used as songs to television shows, movies, and radio commercials.

Through this opportunity, many songwriters that joined this competition were given breaks and chances to showcase and develop their talents and skills in song composition. This year, Top 12 composers made it to the grand finals and would be competing as the best song composer of the year: Tabi-Tabi Po by Mariah Moriones, Pahina by Joshua Ortiz and Aniceto Cabahug III, Out by Erica Sabalboro, Marupok by Danielle Balagtas, Kulang Ang Mundo by Daryl Cielo, Kahit na Masungit by John Francis Pasicolan and Jayson Franz Pasicolan, Tinadhana Sa’yo by SJ Gandia, Kahit Kunwari Man Lang by David Mercado, Ika’y Babalik Pa ba by Jabez Orara, Ang Hirap Maging Mahirap by Kenneth Reodica, Bulalakaw by Joanna Ang, and Ibang Planeta by Dan Tañedo.

The 12 songs will have an assigned interpreter which was both chosen by Star Music and the songwriter. Then, they were professionally arranged and recorded before being released to various digital service platforms. They were also promoted on tri-media and online.

During the live streaming, various Kapamilya artists will also sing the songs of aspirations, passion, and social annotation of the top composers. Some of the featured performances during the program are from Agsunta, Davey Langit, Fana, Janine Berdin, Jeremy G, JMKO, Joanna Ang, Juris, Kiss N’ Tell, Kritiko, Kyle Echarri, KZ Tandingan, Moira Dela Torre, Sam Mangubat, Zephanie and ZIld.

The grand winner will receive a brand new house and lot from Lumina Homes.
